What is Module 1?
Module 1 is the first part of your practical test, focusing on machine control and low-speed manoeuvres in a safe, off-road environment. Think slalom, figure-of-eights, emergency stops, U-turns, and the all-important hazard avoidance - essential skills every competent rider should have nailed.
What's involved?
£445 for the full two-day intensive, including Module 1 test fee, bike hire, insurance, and fuel.
If you need extra time, additional training is available at £100 per half-day.
2 Day Intensive:
This is our standard and most popular route to Module 1 success.
Over two days, you’ll work closely with our experienced instructors, perfecting the precise skills you need to pass.
Training runs on our purpose-built ranges using the latest Kawasaki Z650s and group sizes are kept small to maximise personal feedback.

Licence & age requirements
Provisional or Full UK Driving Licence:
You’ll need a UK provisional or full car licence with the correct motorcycle entitlement.
Valid CBT Certificate:
A valid Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) certificate (DL196) is essential... no CBT, no test.
Theory Test Pass:
You must have passed your motorcycle theory test before taking your Module 1 practical.
Minimum Age:
A1: 17+, A2: 19+, A (Unrestricted): 24+, or 21+ with two years on an A2 licence (progressive access)

What is covered in the Module 1 course?
Our Module 1 course covers all the practical skills tested in the Module 1 exam, including slow control, slalom, figure-of-eight, U-turns, emergency stops, hazard avoidance, and more. You’ll train on our purpose-built ranges with expert guidance every step of the way.
Do I need previous experience before booking a Module 1 course?
Yes, you’ll need to be confident riding a manual motorcycle and have some previous experience - ideally a recent CBT. If you’re unsure about your skill level, get in touch and we can recommend the best next steps for you.
Is the test included in the course fee?
Absolutely. The Module 1 test is included in the course price, along with bike hire, fuel, insurance, and safety kit. You’ll usually take your test at the end of your two-day intensive course.
What happens if I need extra training before I’m ready for the test?
No problem! If you need more time to build confidence, we offer additional training at £100 per half day. Your instructor will let you know if they think extra practice would help you succeed.
