Long Eaton Office

Our story

Shires Motorcycle Training is a family‑run school headed by Paul Nunn, who has been turning nervous novices into confident riders for more than twenty years.

What began with a handful of bikes in Long Eaton has grown into one of the Midlands’ largest training networks, yet it still runs on the same friendly, hands‑on ethos that Paul set on day one.

Every instructor on our team rides for love first and work second. They are DVSA‑qualified, MCIA‑accredited and genuinely excited to share the freedom of two wheels with you.

Whether you are tackling your first clutch bite or fine‑tuning advanced cornering, you will find patient coaching, clear radio guidance and plenty of encouragement.

Safety sits at the heart of every lesson because we believe good habits today build safer riders for life.

From purpose‑built ranges and heated classrooms to modern Kawasaki and Honda fleets, we invest in the right kit so you can focus on learning.

Hundreds of five‑star reviews and an ever‑growing community of Shires graduates prove the approach works, but we never stop refining the syllabus or adding new courses.

Drop by any of our sites, grab a brew and meet the team – we would love to help you start or rekindle your motorcycling journey.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shires. They are very friendly and very professional. I look forward to using Shires again in future when eventually I'll go for my full test.

Cannot recommend shires enough!! From staff all the way down to the kit they provide. Kit is top notch, bikes are well maintained and most of them new. And the staff are on a different level, making you feel at ease and always making the training environment fun.
